The First Slice

Dions opened its first location on Menaul Blvd in Albuquerque, NM. The founding family introduced their signature dion's pizza recipe using fresh-milled dough and locally sourced New Mexico green chile.

1985

Expanding the Menu

Following overwhelming customer demand, dions expanded its offerings to include fresh-made subs and house salads. The Ranch dressing — now legendary — debuted this year and became an overnight sensation.

1992

Community Roots Deepen

Dions launched its school fundraising program, partnering with over 50 local schools. This initiative became a cornerstone of our community mission, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars over the decades.

2001

Growing Across New Mexico

By the turn of the millennium, dions pizza had grown to six locations across Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. Each new restaurant upheld the same family atmosphere and quality that built the brand's reputation.

2010

Catering Takes Flight

Dions officially launched a dedicated catering division, bringing dions pizza and fresh food to corporate events, weddings, and large gatherings throughout New Mexico with a dedicated fleet of delivery vehicles.

40 Years & Going Strong

Celebrating four decades of flavor, Dions marked its 40th anniversary with a grand community celebration, a limited-edition menu, and the opening of its 10th location — a testament to loyal customers across Albuquerque.

The Next Chapter
